Our Coy daughter

Is it crazy to say I am already worried about the teenage years with this girl! She is such a flirt! Yesterday at church we sat next to a little boy and she scooted right next to him with her hymnbook and kept giving him this coy little look. Then he wanted to look at her princess book and she wanted l=nothing to do with him. She sat on the other side of me and didn't pay attention as he basically sat in my lap leaning over to get her to notice him. I would say we just need boys to take her toys and she'll lose interest, but she started flirting again by the end so I am pretty sure she was just playing hard to get.
And I am pretty sure she has a crush on my friend Cariann's little boy Devon. They were over tonight and she just chased him around and tried hugging him even when he pushed her away. She's nothing if not determined. Oh Dear...

Wellbeing Challenge

SO my friend Lori sent an email last week-ish asking if anyone wanted to join her in a 6 week wellbeing challenge. I thougth it sounded like a lot of fun. The basic run down is there are 10 habits/tasks each day(they are the same every day) and you keep track of how many you complete. At the end of each week we send our total to Lori and she posts it on our private wellbeing blog so we can see how bad we are beating each other, I mean how well we are doing ;)I am soo excited about it! Which could be due to the fact that it just started today, but I think it is just a really great way to motivate and improve your complete well being because the tasks are not all fitness. They are:
1.drinking 48 ounces of water
2.45 minutes of exercise
3. 2 servings of fruits,
4. 2 servings of veggies
5. NO soda
6. No sweets(ICK!)
7. No fast food
8. YOur choice
9. 15 minutes of reading(YAY!)
10. Write in your journal

Can you guess which one I am fulfilling right now? Yes you will hopefully see a lot of me( for the next 6 weeks at least) as I'm thinking I will use blogging to hold myself accountable for journaling. There are two major reasons for this A: The last time time I was consistent in journaling my entries were something like"I heart JTT!" and "Spice Girls rock!" B: as my good friend Sarah pointed out I have been severely slacking and "it's hard to blogstalk you if you don't write anything". Geesh I realized I haven't even written about Disneyland or the cruise. So if anyone is still out there or cares...I promise I will be here. For real though, I'm kind of competitive....not very attractive I know. Maybe that can be my number 8 goal, except I would be competing to win not being competetive...hmm...any suggestions for #8?

Sweet simple moments

Do you ever feel like your children are only here to teach YOU? We came home from dinner and it started raining. Spaz that I am, I started hustling in the food, diaper bag, entire nursery you have to bring with you when you go out with children. I was calling Alianna to hurry up and get inside. She was facing away from me and I couldn't figure out what she was doing. I came over and saw this sweet sight. She was trying to catch the rain...arms wide open, eyes to the sky. What else could I do but stop and catch the rain with her.

A Day in the life of Alianna

Our day usually starts with breakfast
Then we become princesses for a few minutes/hours...

Bedtime comes with some sweet cuddling and pillow talk on the couch

And then mom proceeds to check blogs..Speaking of ,There are some awesome giveaways out there. Make it and Love it has a new sponsor (She Makes Flowers) and is giving away a gift certificate for their adorable little girl dresses. And a story of a princess and her hair are giving away cute flower hair clips.

A sweet girl

I had the most amazing experience with Alianna a few days ago. I was having a bad day and eventually I just had to sit down and cry. Alianna ahd been roaming around as she normally does and noticed I was crying. She came over and held out her arms. I picked her up and she gave me the sweetest hug(head on shoulder, legs tucked around me as tight as possible). She pulled her head away and saw I was still crying, touched my cheek and hugged me again. Of course I cried harder then and the cycle repeated for about 10 minutes until I calmed down and she went back to running around. Now, for those of you who have not met our little sweetie, ArJay has affectionately taken to calling her monster because the child does not sit still and gets into EVERYTHING! I know it was a tender mercy that the Lord and Alianna knew what I needed and gave me comfort.

Kick in the pants!

Relief Society, or Enrichment or whatever it is called now was on keeping memories and I thought " oh crap something else I'm not doing well". I am HORRIBLE about journaling, scrapbooking, etc. Karla said that blooging is amazing because you can make books and I am starting to log stalk some websites, so I am really going to give it my best!( BTW Karla has the cutest blog all about optimistic obsessions and is giving away an adorable apron right now!)

We have had a crazy month. ArJay is finishing his first phase of FTO(Field Training) this week. I can't believe he graduated one month ago. He is loving it and is very proud of the 4 dead bodies(yuck!), double digits arrests, and numerous calls.

Alianna finally got tubes in her ears last wednesday( Arjay's b-day happy frieking b-day right?). She did really well, she flopped around for about 15 minutes after which really frieked out mommy (especially becasue she never really opened her eyes) but then went to sleep and woke up a couple of hours later just fine.

I am loving being a mom and trying to keep everyone happy, healthy and myself sane!

ChCHCHCHanges

ArJay and I went to the class dinner tonight for his graduation from the police academy. It was amazing, inspiring, and a little scary watching the video they made with clips of what happened. I am even more in awe of what he has done and can't believe he will be a bonafide officer tomorrow. Who knows what this will bring to our lives....

In completely unrelated news, I might be becoming addicted to this blogging thing. Especially little girl hairstyle ones and crafty ones. Kind of ironic since ALianna still has a pseudo mullet and can barely get two piggies and I can't even really sew very straight. BUT I have high aspirations for both and I am digging the tutorials and giveaways. Fairy Wonderful is giving away a little girl's pettiskirt! My only question, does it come in my size?? And The Dress-up drawer has weeklong giveway awesomeness happening.
